This campout will be a truly unique experience for Troop 140! Scouts will travel to New Orleans for a 4-day, 3-night adventure while camping at St. Bernard State Park. During camp, Scouts will wear their Halloween costumes and put their navigation skills to the test in a “Scout Style Trick-or-Treat,” using maps and compass skills to locate hidden treats throughout the campsite while satisfying First Class navigation requirements. In addition to the fun at camp, Scouts will explore several of New Orleans’ most famous attractions, including our nation’s iconic The National WWII Museum. The museum tells the powerful story of the American experience in World War II — why it was fought, how it was won, and what it still means today. And, of course, there will be plenty of dedicated ASM time for Scouts to work on individual rank requirements throughout the weekend.
